Original illustration. Curated vintage.
She draws it. She thrifts it.
Illustrator and surface pattern designer, working from Northern Virginia. She does all of it herself, no team hiding in the back.
The Work
Original Digital Illustration
Everything starts as a doodle, then gets digitized. Hand-drawn line, texture, and jewel-tone color, built at print resolution so it holds up on anything from a sticker to a duvet.

Surface Pattern Design
Seamless repeats, coordinating colorways, and full collections. Toile with zombies in it, florals with something hiding in the leaves, mid-century geometrics that behave themselves.

Design Print-on-Demand Products
I take my own artwork through to finished product: placement, mockups, sizing, and print files for mugs, tumblers, journals, totes, stickers, and art prints.

Vintage Sourcing and Upcycling
Three decades of thrifting, aimed at Pyrex, milk glass, and mid-century ceramics. Some pieces get sold as found, and some get hand-painted into something with a sense of humor.

About Olivia
Olivia Phillips is an illustrator and surface pattern designer based in Northern Virginia.
She trained as a designer, earned an MA in Publications Design, and then spent 25 years drifting steadily away from the drawing board into UX, management, and strategy. Two and a half years as a VP finished the job. She left, started hand-painting thrifted vintage dishes in her basement, and found the dark, funny edge was there in the very first piece. The art had been waiting the whole time.
The work is texture-first and unapologetically maximalist: mid-century pattern instincts, jewel tones, and a little darkness thrown in. Zombies in toile. Swear words hidden in knit. It is drawn for people who have a sense of humor and still want beautiful things, which the home decor aisle keeps insisting is a choice.
Every design is original, drawn in Procreate, Illustrator, and Affinity. Available for licensing across home decor, textiles, art prints, greeting cards, or anything else that could use some personality.
